DOES THE RELATIVE NEED A SMARTPHONE?
Each member of the care circle needs a mobile device with the Response by Doro application installed (available free from Google Play Store and the iOS App Store); The responder phones need to be at least Android v7.0 and above or iOS v10.0 and above. The solution will not work on landlines or other fixed line solutions.
IS MY CURRENT DORO PHONE COMPATIBLE?
Response by Doro and Response Premium by Doro are compatible with the following devices: Doro 7010/7030/780X/8050/8080.
HOW MANY RELATIVES CAN BE ADDED TO A CARE CIRCLE?
There is no limit to the number of Responders that can be connected to a seniors Circle of Care.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A RELATIVE IS OUTSIDE OF THE UK?
The relative may have limited ability to help if they are abroad, but the service and experience will work as normal, provided their phone has mobile coverage and is connected to the internet, be that WiFi or mobile data.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A SENIOR IS OUTSIDE OF THE UK?
The service and experience will work as normal, provided their phone has mobile coverage and is connected to the internet, be that WiFi or mobile data.
With Response Premium, if the call is not answered by the care circle it will be connected to our UK care team as usual. The support they’re able to provide will be limited – escalation to the emergency services for example, is only available within the UK.
IF MY DEVICE IS ON ‘DO NOT DISTURB’ WILL I STILL RECEIVE AN ALERT CALL?
On both Android and Apple devices, you will be asked during the set-up process whether you would like the Response by Doro Application to override ‘do not disturb’.
CAN A RESPONDER HAVE MORE THAN ONE SENIOR?
Yes a Responder can be connected to multiple seniors. If they are the Responder who pays for the Response Premium by Doro service, they require a subscription (£15 per month) for each senior.
CAN I KEEP THE SERVICE IF I GET A NEW PHONE?
For both the Senior and the Responders, the service is linked to your phone number, not device. So simply download the application onto your new device and log in again.
If you change your number, you will need to cancel the original subscription and sign up again.
DOES THE APPLICATION WORK ON 4G ENABLED TABLETS?
Response by Doro is optimised for use on phones, but is supported on a companion device, such as a tablet with full mobile service.
IS MY DATA SECURE?
Yes, Doro supports all data protection and GDPR requirements to protect customer data. You can contact Doro support for further details.
HOW DO I CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION?
You can cancel the subscription at any time within the Response by Doro application, simply select the menu button in the top left corner then ‘Settings’ and ‘My Response by Doro’ and open your ‘Active Subscriptions’ to select ‘Cancel subscription’ and ‘Confirm’. It will remain active until the current paid period ends and will then revert to the Response by Doro free service. Alternatively, you can contact the Doro Support team on 0808 196 3492 and they can do it for you.
