What can I do with 10 GB data?
With complete transparency, flexible plans and zero hidden fees, Doro Connect makes it easy for you – so you don't have to worry about hassle.
It's the same contact method for our skilled support team, regardless of whether it concerns your Doro Connect contract or your Doro phone.
Doro Connect works on all types and brands of mobile phones.
Change, upgrade or cancel your contract at any time.
Our mobile data gives you access to the internet even when you're not connected to a WiFi network, so you can easily do everyday things like:
Sending and receiving photos
When you take a picture with your mobile phone and send it to someone - for example via an app like WhatsApp - you are using something called mobile data. This means that your phone is using the internet from your allowance.
The same applies when you get a picture sent to you or look at a picture someone has sent you. This also uses mobile data.
The better the quality of the picture (for example, if it's very sharp or large), the more mobile data is used.
Using maps and navigation
Your phone can work as a GPS device and give you directions wherever you are going. It retrieves map information and real-time traffic updates while travelling, using data from your allowance. This is particularly useful when travelling to places you've never been before or to find the fastest route in rush hour traffic.
Messaging Apps
Beyond regular text messages, there are special apps like WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger that let you send messages, photos, and even make calls and video calls over the internet. These apps use your data plan and they often offer features like group chats and video calls with family members.
Browsing the web
This means looking up information on the internet using your phone - like checking the weather, reading news articles, or searching for store opening times. Every time you visit a website or search for something online, your phone downloads that information using your data plan.
Video and voice calls using apps
You can make phone calls and even video calls (where you can see the person you're talking to) using apps instead of your regular phone service. Apps like FaceTime, Microsoft Teams, or WhatsApp let you talk to family and friends anywhere in the world, but they use your data plan rather than your phone minutes.
Streaming Music or Videos
This means listening to music or watching videos that play directly from the internet on your phone, rather than from files stored on your device. Services like Spotify for music or YouTube for videos send the content to your phone in real-time, which uses data continuously while you're listening or watching.

Are there limits on calls, SMS, or MMS – and is EU roaming included?
Yes, there are certain limitations depending on where you are and which plan you have. Within the EU and EEA countries, you can call, text, and surf just like at home! For other countries, check which zone applies to you in our roaming price list.
Can I keep my phone number when switching to Doro Connect?
Yes, absolutely! If you already have a mobile number you want to keep when switching to Doro Connect, you can easily do so. When you order: Choose the option “I already have a number.” Enter the phone number you want to transfer or 'port'. The person placing the order must be the owner of the number. Important: You cannot transfer old landline numbers to Doro Connect. You can choose a date for when the transfer should happen – it must be at least 20 days in the future. We’ll take care of the rest and help you transfer the number – completely free of charge.
How do I get started with Doro Connect?
Getting started with Doro Connect is easy:
1. Choose the contract that suits your needs best.
2. Fill in your contact details.
3. Choose whether you want to keep an existing mobile number or get a new one.
Once you’ve completed your order, we’ll send your SIM card to you by post. If you ordered a contract with a new number, you can insert the new SIM card into your phone and start using it as soon as it arrives. If you ordered a contract where you chose to keep your current mobile number, you’ll receive an SMS and an email a day or two before you need to replace your old SIM card with your new Doro Connect SIM card.
What happens if my data runs out?
If the data included in your plan runs out, the speed will be throttled and everything will become very slow – unless you’re connected to a WiFi network. Need more data? You can easily buy extra data packages, either 1GB or 3GB, via “My Pages.” This restores your normal internet speed, even without WiFi. Your extra mobile data lasts until the end of the month, and when the new month starts, you’ll have your regular data allowance again according to your chosen plan.
Will I get a warning before my data runs out?
Yes, we send automatic messages when you’re close to your data limit: “You have almost used up all your included data.” This way, you can plan your usage or buy extra data if needed. When your data is completely used up, you’ll receive this message: “You have now used up all your included data, speed is throttled.” More data can be purchased on “My Pages.”
